Vita Oil is a trusted remedy for the temporary relief of muscular soreness, stiffness, and minor sprains caused by overexertion. Since 1880, horsemen have relied on this all-natural liniment, formulated with a blend of mineral oils, turpentine, peppers, mustard flour, and other spices. Unlike products with alcohol, Vita Oil remains moist and active for hours, providing long-lasting relief without drying out the skin. Ideal for pre- and post-competition use, this versatile oil can also be used as a massage oil or sweat, especially for stiff muscles and the stifle area. Vita Oil is gentle on the skin, producing little to no scurfing, and can be used safely on a variety of muscle groups. For effective muscle relief, massage Vita Oil into the area and apply hot towels or a blanket for enhanced results. It’s also highly effective when diluted for use as a brace under standing bandages.
Mineral oil, turpentine, peppers, mustard flour, and other spices.
Vita Oil remains active for hours due to its combination of natural oils and spices, offering long-lasting relief. For best results, thoroughly rub in Vita Oil to the affected area, allowing the skin to absorb it. For additional benefits, apply a hot compress (either moist or dry) or sponge the area with hot water to open pores before applying the oil. Repeat as necessary. For use as a sweat, apply full strength to the affected area and cover with plastic wrap, then apply a blanket or bandage. To make a leg brace, mix two ounces of Vita Oil with one pint of witch hazel and one pint of rubbing alcohol. Shake well and apply by rubbing in with the hair, then bandage with standing bandages. As a body wash, mix two ounces of Vita Oil with one quart of rubbing alcohol, witch hazel, or water. Always keep the lid tightly closed when not in use.
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If excessive irritation occurs or the affected area does not improve, consult a veterinarian. Do not apply under tack, as it may cause irritation or blistering.
