Tri-Band Bander Bloodless Cattle Castrator

The most humane method for castrating calves. Designed for bloodless castration of bull calves from newborns up to 3-4 months of age (up to approx. 350 lb). The Tri-Band Bander comes with 10 bands. 25-pack of bands is sold separately.

"Tri-Band" bands open to 2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5", larger than standard castrating bands, and are 2X stronger. Their flat edge prevents them from rolling off the applicator. Requires no tightening of any kind - simply open, put in place, and release."Tri-Band" bands also work on standard pliers and are twice as strong as green bands.

A 2-dose Tetanus Toxoid Vaccine or CDT is recommended before use.

Easy to use. Not sure how long it's going to be effective. Keeping an eye on things.

Stronger bands, similar size to green "Cheerios"

This is a nice strong band and gives you that extra confidence. The bands stretch to a similar size as the regular round green elasticator bands.

Happy camper

I wasn't sure about this bander but when I tried it it worked great. A little hard to get the band off at first but once you get the hang of it it works great. Even the larger boys fit with a little pulling one at a time.

Bander

Haven't used yet for castration, but used on a buck and a doe that had scurs from dehorning and if they work as great for castrating as they did for putting the bands on the horns, I will be really happy!!
