To look at this pail, it should be waterproof and shouldn't rust. The first is true ... it is waterproof, however, the one I ordered and have just had a couple of weeks already has rust in it. I'm sad ... my dog loves drinking from it but I don't know i

Heavy duty and look to be sturdy. Time will tell if they will hold up to Malinois and Labradors. Wish they came in a larger size and different colors.
